Spectroscopy Facility Theme
The SIV Facility is open to academic and industrials. In order to maintain a high level of excellence in service and equipment, the Facility must operate on the basis of user pays. - For industrials and commercials contact C. Delhaye at SAFIRR ( link) - For academics contact F. Guillaume (see also the document Charte )
6 Raman spectrometers coupled to confocal microscopes are available with a wide range of excitation wavelengths ranging from the near-infrared (fluorescent samples) to the near UV (resonance Raman Scattering RRS). Original equipments are also available exclusively within the frame of scientific collaborations for Hyper-Raman Spectroscopy (HRS) and Tip Enhanced Raman Scattering (TERS).
6 Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometers (FTIR) are available for absorption experiments from far-infrared to near-infrared. A wide range of molecular systems (solids, liquids, gaz) can be investigated including microscopic materials. Original experiments have been developed such as Polarization Modulation InfraRed Reflexion Absorption Spectroscopy (PM-IRRAS) to characterize ultra thin films deposited onto solid substrates and Vibrational Circular Dichroism (VCD) to determine the absolute configuration and/or conformation of chiral molecules in solution.
